Hand-building is a great way to get into the world of pottery!
By shaping and feeling the soft, smooth material, you can relax and forget about everything else.
In this workshop, we will show you the three main techniques of body-building ceramics: thumb pressure, slab and bead techniques. With these basic techniques you can then create your own beautiful works of art according to your own ideas.
No previous knowledge is required to take part in this course, which is aimed at beginners and advanced beginners.
Two to five vessels can be completed during the course.
§§1st date:§You will learn the thumb printing technique and the plate technique. You can make thumb bowls, cups, vases, candle holders, soap dishes and much more.
| 2nd date: | You can continue working on your project from the first date, and we will also show you the beading technique with which you can shape something new and creative. |
| 3rd date: | You will have a large selection of colored glazes at your disposal with which you can design your already fired vessels. |
You will develop an understanding of how clay works and can play with its versatility by exploring ways to individualize your pieces, e.g. by adding texture and color.

Your self-made pottery will be ready 2-3 weeks after the last course date.
As soon as they are ready for collection, we will send you an email. Please understand that we can keep your finished vessels for a maximum of 4 weeks after notification.
Cancellation
